The book The Power of the Night is in the Light of the Stars

We are on the Great Himalayan Trail.

This travelogue, written by Marija and Andrej Štremfelj, both world-renowned alpinists and Himalayans, the first to embrace as husband and wife on the summit of the world's highest mountain, each describes a slightly different feat in their own way in this book. It is not a climbing climb, but a three-month journey from place to place, over hills and valleys, through narrow valleys and over high saddles, practically the entire length of Nepal, one of the most interesting and unique countries in the world. The book presents their deeply lived experience, which is - in the Himalayan world it cannot be otherwise - physically external, in connection with places, nature and their companions, as well as personally internal, torn between memories, spiritual reflections and a directly experienced moment that looks back on itself, while at the same time escaping to those closest to it.

Although this is a book by mountaineering authors whose primary concern is mountains and climbing passes, and although we embark on a journey with them to the highest peaks of this world and together relive the gray-ice giants under the blue sky, this is not another report on a completed climb, but a happy tale of a long, really long path, called the Great Himalaya Trail.
