The Scarpa Phantom Tech HD boots are waterproof, technical winter boots for automatic crampons. They are designed for mountaineering in colder and higher mountains such as the Alps. They are provided with a gaiter for extra warmth and more space around the toes.
The outer layer of the shoe is made of Schoeller water-repellent material, which is laminated with an HDry membrane. This makes the shoe waterproof. Part of the material is made to allow good breathability and is additionally resistant to abrasion.
The front of the shoe is surrounded by rubber, which provides greater protection against rough use (gravel, friction against rocks, etc.). The shoe opens/closes in a spiral with a water-repellent zipper, which protects it from rain and from annoying bending in the instep area.
The inner part of the shoe is made of Primaloft Silver material, which gives the shoe warmth without adding weight. The ergonomically shaped tongue ensures greater comfort and breathability.
The shoe is worn like a sock. When lacing, we use a tightening system that allows the laces to be blocked at a certain point and allows for final tying. There is a technical material under the tongue that prevents snow from penetrating the shoe when the shoe is open (zipper unzipped).
The Vibram sole ensures precision, low weight and comfortable walking. Thanks to the right rubber composition, the shoe is stable and wears well. The sole is designed to repel stones and dirt, provide optimal grip and allow for efficient walking downhill.
