The Slovenia Sport Climbing Guide 2024 is the eighth, updated and expanded edition.
Since 1994, when the guide to Slovenian climbing areas was first published, the number of climbing areas has increased from a pioneering 38 to the current 107. The 8th, updated and expanded edition covers over 5,700 routes, almost without exception well-equipped and secured.
With the generous help and cooperation of local climbers and experts, this edition has been radically updated and adjusted to the situation on the ground. 9 new climbing sites have been added: Gabrska peč, Mešenik, Pezarca, Povčeno, Malič, Damelj, Ter, Jankovec, Celjski grad and a new sector Poglejska cerkev in Gorje. Wherever we thought that photography could make finding directions easier, we replaced the sketches with photographs. However, the superb watercolors of the Himalayan mountaineer, alpinist and painter Danilo Cedilnik – Den remain our trademark.
The climbing area information has been supplemented with warnings related to the climbing area and access to it, as well as a sketch or access map with GPS coordinates of parking lots and a QR code.
