LACD Via Ferrata Pro Evo 3.0 Lanyard
The LACD Via Ferrata Pro Evo 3.0 Lanyard is intended for use by adults weighing more than 40 kg and less than 120 kg; including backpack and climbing equipment. The lanyard consists of two elastic straps to which two via ferrata carabiners with automatic locking are attached. This allows for carefree climbing, as it is impossible for the carabiners to open on their own or by accident, which would leave you improperly secured against a fall. The set also has a swivel buckle to prevent tangling of the straps.
You open the carabiners by pressing them into your palm, which releases the gate to open. When closing, the gate locks automatically.
The lanyard also includes a fall absorber. Thanks to innovative UHMPE technology, the Pro Evo 3.0 lanyard is reliable and durable.
UHMPE is an abbreviation for Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight polyethylene. These are fibers of particularly long polyethylene chains. The properties of UHMPE, compared to other fibers used in mountaineering equipment, are: high breaking strength, small volume and weight, low water absorption, completely static (low stretch), high UV resistance, as well as a low melting point.
