The Rope Guide Assist 8mm 40M guide rope is designed to provide additional protection for a second climber in more exposed areas, such as crossing glaciers. The rope has a Pro Dry coating, which means it is waterproof and resistant to various dirt. The rope also has a Thermo Shield treatment for better handling.

The rope is not suitable for use as a single rope or for belaying the lead climber.
