The book differs from other guidebooks in its very beginning, as it is a combination of folk tales and stories and excursions that take us to the places mentioned in the stories.
These are generally easier and shorter trails or walks, suitable for families with children and all those who do not go to the mountains regularly. Even for more demanding destinations, the easiest access is almost always chosen.

70 excursions lead to various natural attractions throughout Slovenia. We will visit rivers, springs, easy caves, waterfalls, famous or rare trees, lakes, swamps and bogs, and easily accessible and scenic peaks.
With the help of the book, both children and parents will learn about natural heritage and folk storytelling, including numerous mythical creatures. A comprehensive introduction and presentation of Slovenian mythical creatures and their characteristics was contributed by Dr. Monika Kropej.
An important addition is the excellent illustrations by 11 Slovenian illustrators.
Each trip is also equipped with photographs by renowned landscape photographers, a clear map, and all the information that makes it easier for us to prepare and carry it out.
