Map of the Julian Alps
The map of the Julian Alps shows the eastern and western parts of the Julian Alps and the Triglav National Park. Sidarta Publishing House highlighted on the map:
- The map covers the entire Julian Alps. The eastern border runs in the direction of Bled-Ratitovec-Blegoš, the southern: Matajur-Tolmin-Porezen, the western: Breški Jalovec-Brda and the northern: Tarvisio-Tromeja-Kepa-Dovška Baba. It also includes the champion of the Western Julian Alps - Viš and Montaž
- contains all marked trails in the Julian Alps area, categorized by difficulty into easy, difficult and very difficult marked trails;
- Tourist walking trails around Kranjska Gora, Bovec, Kobarid and Bled are marked;
- The "Path of Peace" has been drawn up, a historical route along the positions of the Isonzo Front, running from Log pod Mangartom to Tolmin and Kobarid;
- the border of the Triglav National Park is marked;
- for satellite navigation (GPS) users, the map has two coordinate grids, rectangular with the Gauss-Krüger projection and geographic (WGS84);
- additional map content: climbing areas, natural and cultural attractions;
- On the back of the map there is a list of mountain huts with contact details, opening hours, overnight accommodation and accessibility. The distances between individual huts and the distance of important peaks from individual huts are shown schematically. The contents are also translated into English.
The first mountain map in Slovenia at a scale of 1:50,000, covering the entire Julian Alps!
