The revised edition is based on the guide that was first published in 2011. In the updated and expanded edition, over 40 new destinations have been added to the original 78 touring routes, ranging from the mid-mountains to Austria's highest peak, the 3,798-meter-high Großglockner. The new edition thus describes 120 peaks, and all changes in the terrain have been updated and brought up to date. For most destinations, the options for ascent and descent from neighboring peaks are additionally described, expanding the guide's offer to almost 180 destinations.

Most of the tours described are of medium fitness and technical difficulty and are therefore suitable for the widest range of skiers, with the additional options described. A few peaks are completely undemanding and suitable for novice ski touring enthusiasts, but those who can ski on the most demanding terrain will also have a good time.

All tours can be done in one or two days, as most starting points from the Karavanke Tunnel can be reached in just over an hour.

The book is also welcome for surfers, as a special section in the guide highlights the suitability of the destination for ascent and descent with a board.
