The book Like a Stone in a River Stream
The book Like a Stone in a Stream is a book written by Mauro Corona. He is one of the most prolific and successful Italian writers, but in any case, few can "boast" of such an unusual and eventful life story. Regardless of the fact that he is known in Italy today primarily as a writer whose books have been published in millions of copies, he is also an exceptional sculptor and is known in mountaineering circles primarily as a top alpinist and pioneer of Friulian free climbing.
His childhood was marked by the modesty of a hard mountain life above the Vajont Valley and the "famous" dam above the Ert, where the disaster washed away the valley and 2,000 lives, a rough father, an absent mother, wild hunting, drunkenness, hard labor as a manual laborer in a quarry, carving, and in between, as a common thread and bright moments, climbing and mountains.
