Pecol pasture

Pecol pasture is a paradise on earth in every season. Have you heard of Pecol? It is possible to visit in all seasons, and the approach in winter and skiing above the pasture are truly magical.

To reach the Pecol pasture range and the surrounding peaks, it will take you about an hour to an hour and a half from Ljubljana. We will leave the motorway at the Jesenice exit and head towards Kranjska Gora and Rateče. After crossing the border, we drive towards Tarvisio and follow the signs for Bovec. At Rabeljsko jezero, we turn off towards Sella Nevea - V Žlebe. From here, in winter, the path branches off towards the Pecol pasture range, as the road is usually not snowed, but it may happen that a snowmobile visits it and cleans the road properly. Attention - even in this case, chains are required.
