Bohinj Mountain Guide
Bohinj Mountain Guide
The Bohinj Mountain Guide presents the mountains around Bohinj and everything related to them. The author, Tina Mihelič, has walked all the paths and off-road trails described in the guide himself, which is why the guide describes his experiences and feelings.
There's not much to add to the last paragraphs of Tinet's introduction...
"Not everyone can find the Zlatorog's jewels. They certainly don't lie down on the beaches among the crowds of Sunday bathers. They can't be found in the shallow entertainment venues either. Anyone who wants to look for them will have to make a bit more effort. If they don't mind a few blisters or a liter of sweat, they will definitely find at least one. Zlatorog's treasure is great, we used to even think it was immeasurable. Today we know that it is not inexhaustible and eternal. All of us, the people of Bohinj and our guests, must protect it, because we want to pass it on to our children as intact as possible.
The invitation to Bohinj has been sent to various addresses. It is intended for both modest wanderers and masters of the high mountains. Everyone will approach getting to know Bohinj in a way that is in accordance with their wishes and abilities. The difficulty of the excursions and mountain tours gradually increases in the book, so it can also serve as a textbook in the Bohinj "mountain school". Whoever successfully completes it will mature into a good mountaineer while getting to know the beauties of Bohinj. Good luck!
I wrote the guide solely based on my own experiences, as I have walked all the described paths and off-road trails. I return to many of them every year. The interpretation of many years of hiking in the Bohinj mountains is therefore completely personal. I look at them with the eyes of a lover. How alluring and seductive they are!”
