Pitons are those little removable protections that we colloquially call 'jebice'. As they say, you gotta properly f...ing place them in the crack and properly f...ing get them out of the crack.
The fact is, pitons are extremely handy for protecting climbers - both in short-route trad climbing and alpinism. Trad climbing involves placing protection as you go, following the extremely pure ethics of British-style climbing.
We offer various types and sizes of pitons. You can buy them individually or as a set. When placing pitons, it's crucial that a properly placed piton (when possible) uses an extended sling system - this reduces leverage on the placement and consequently makes the piton hold better in the crack.
Our shop carries pitons from Black Diamond, Wild Country, and Lacd. Special mention goes to Hexentriki - these provide excellent protection in winter conditions when cams struggle to create solid anchors or intermediate protection.
